Pastor Eddie and Bibinia Centeno

Pastor Eddie M Centeno’s Biography

Galatians 1:15-16 says, "But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased Him to reveal His Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the world.”
Such seems to be the threads that have woven the fabric of my life and ministry.

I was born on December 3rd, 1959 in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. In 1984 I met and fell in love with Bibinia D Manangan and on April 21, 1990 we were married in Holy Matrimony. To our union two beautiful children were born Abigail and Danielle Anne. I was ordained as minister in 1984 in Manila, Philippines and became the director of missions at age 25. In 1982, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National University in Manila. At which time also I was called by the Lord to serve full time in ministry where I co-pioneered a church in Morong, Rizal, Philippines.

In 1988, I migrated here in the United States and has lived here since. From 1989 to 2001, I worked as a designer/drafter at BE Aerospace. In 1994, I received my Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting at Florida Technical College.
From 2002 to 2015, I worked as a manufacturing engineer and internal auditor for Kaman Aerospace.
Also worked for CSX Transportation as engineering specialist from March 2016 to July 2017.

// Ministry Experience //

In 1989, I was ordained as associate pastor of the Filipino Church of God in Southside of Jacksonville, Florida. In 1994, shortly after the birth of our youngest daughter, we joined Christ is the Answer church in Lane Avenue, Jacksonville and became one of the pastoral staff and became the main teacher of the Filipino adult Sunday school for 20 years.
I completed Biblical and Pastoral studies in 2004 at the International Bible Institute (satellite school sponsored by CEMI Christ is the Answer Church of Jacksonville, Florida).

Then in 2014 to 2018 I was asked by Senior Pastor Tim Larson of Watermark Church of Orange Park to replace his associate pastor who was called to a different ministry. Me and my wife, Bibinia pastored a small group of Filipinos made up of fifteen families (some are not members of Watermark church). We do a couple of home Bible studies in the Argyle/Oakleaf area and we meet every other Thursday and Saturday. I travel every year visiting churches and teaching in Bible conferences in Australia and the Philippines. I am also a regular guest speaker/teacher at Day By Day church in Jersey City, New Jersey under Senior Pastor Cesar Pasinio.

My heart’s desire is found in Matthew 28: 18-20.
18 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
